![]() ![]() That and the newly introduced razor edits have changed my Reaper editing life. I only learned about tape mode recently, and it's a freakin' life saver. Yeah, the ones I showed are the ones that, to the best of my knowledge, are both simplest and fastest. There's probably a dozen different ways to do both creating the bleep and then editing it into the video The end of the GIF I posted shows me dragging that into Reaper. Yes, the way I showed creates a separate file. The main reason that I showed it this way is because I do my video editing in Resolve, so I need a separate file. 120.Ī faster way of placing the bleeps is by putting Reaper in tape mode (see: "trim content behind media items when editing" this is important enough to hotkey or put on a button and Reaper even has an icon for it), drag the bleeps roughly in place, then use adjoining-edge dragging to get it exactly where you want it. Obviously (as you show in the video), we don't actually want it to be 120ms (it ultimately doesn't matter), but if we cared, Reaper shows you the item length in seconds as you drag it out, so you could just stop at. Now you have Bleep.wav in your project directory. F2 to open item properties, "Rename file", type in "bleep.wav". ALT+drag to create item, CTRL+E to open item FX, add Tone Generator, then CTRL+SHIFT+g to glue. ResourcesĪ much faster way to create the beep would be to add the tone generator as a take FX then glue the item. We'd love to hear what you have produced with Reaper, but please post it in the weekly sticky. Tune out the chaos, turn up the ads, and whatever you do, don’t listen in on the increasingly panicked chatter of the news crew behind the scenes. There’s all that talk of war, and the politics are just getting to you. Okay, so the news isn’t all sunshine and celebrity embarrassments. News stops for no-one, not even a category 5 storm! Nothing will stop the National Nightly News, not even existential threats! Keep broadcasting no matter how bizarre things get. Customer satisfaction is not guaranteed and absolutely no refunds. Some hand-picked (if slightly sketchy) sponsors might help pad that bank balance, and provide some laughs along the way. Powerful as you are, they’re really not paying you enough here. It’s just TV, right? It’s not like you could change an entire nation’s fate… Frame a footballer as a loving beau or a drunken lout? Your call to make, and just one of many. There’s more news to see than a single broadcast can possibly contain, so someone (that’s you) gets to choose what goes on air. Keep the news safe for children and oppressive political regimes alike. Smash that big red CENSOR button to keep rude words (and other sensitive information) off the air. You are the artist and the broadcast is your canvas. Keep the general public entertained with your editing skills. You’re here to ensure that the show goes on uninterrupted.Ĭut between multiple camera feeds, tweak the headlines, bleep the foul language, all with just moments to spare on a live broadcast! Whether you toe the party line or stir up a scandal is your choice, so long as you can hold the audience’s fickle attention. Egotistical celebrities, dishonest politicians, and strange sponsors clash on the airwaves. Not For Broadcast is a darkly comedic game of televised chaos that lets you pick what you want to see on TV, no matter what anybody else wants. No pressure, right? I mean, who pays attention to the news anyway? ![]() Pick the most exciting (or scandalous) camera angles, bleep the swears and determine which ads to run to keep the sponsors happy. A nation tunes in, and you get to decide what’s fit for broadcast. ![]() About This Game It’s time for the National Nightly News. ![]()
